Trucks of all shapes and sizes (including SUVs) are welcome. No cars please. If you don’t own a truck but would like to participate, ride with one of your other fellow Americans or stand on the sidewalks of the route to show your support for OUR President and cheer on Trucks for Trump. Our rally will pass through downtown Lexington around 2:05 PM and downtown Buena Vista approximately at 2:25 PM. It will continue through Glasgow, Natural Bridge Station, Natural Bridge and return to the Food Lion in Lexington via Lee Highway (Rt. 11).
Trucks for Trump will depart Rockbridge County High School at 2:00 p.m. sharp. Participants may arrive and line up beginning 11:30 a.m.. All participants must arrive to line up no later than 1:50 p.m.
A few notes on safety and decorum: Virginia law states:
—No person under sixteen years of age shall be transported in the rear cargo area of any pickup truck on the highways of Virginia. The provisions of this section shall not apply to transportation of persons in the bed of any pickup truck being operated (i) as part of an organized parade authorized by the Department of Transportation or the locality in which the parade is being conducted.
–Please ensure that any signs, flags, or banners are secured to your vehicle. We may travel at speeds 50 mph or more, and we don’t want an unsecured flagpole, for example, damaging another vehicle.
–Last, please use American or Trump Flags and signage for Trump, Gade and Cline, as well as Defend the Police.
So, shine up your rigs, unfurl your Trump flags and let’s have a great time as TRUE Americans in celebrating our country instead of tearing it down!
